Alright Tempe, time to wake up and lock in — the party’s far from over, the weekend’s just begun actually. Mickey Avalon is here and taking over Marquee Theatre this Friday on January 2nd to start the year off right. Right here for his NYE Hangover show, and we’re starting the year off in the filthiest, flashiest way possible. Post-holiday haze, flashing lights, eyeliner running, bass booming — the Hollywood bad boy himself is pulling up to turn Tempe into the after-after-after party. While everyone else is sleeping off the champagne, we’re getting louder, grittier, and way more unhinged under the desert lights. This is obviously his ONLY NYE show of the weekend - so you gotta make sure 

Mickey Avalon is Hollywood’s original glam-rap outlaw — but if you haven’t heard of him yet or you aren’t updated on his 411: read up!  Born Yeshe Perl in 1975, Avalon is a larger-than-life LA boy whose story reads like a movie script.  He grew up in Los Angeles and turned a lifetime of chaos, addiction, and survival into raw, confessional art. His 2006 self-titled debut album, released under Interscope and MySpace Records, was a tell all of the crazy LA lifestyle and what it's like to be a kid in the music capital of the world - and everyone was hooked. It’s when we first heard some of his cult classics like “Jane Fonda,” “Mr. Right,” and “My Dick,” the latter becoming his biggest song, used  throughout countless film and TV placements. Avalon’s lyrics show the real side of the true LA lifestyle — a couple laughs and a couple tears — earning him a cult following on the west coast that eventually spread all over the country. Over the years, he’s toured with icons like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg, collaborated with Dirt Nasty and Andre Legacy, and cemented his place as one of LA’s most unpredictable, unapologetic voices. Raw. Provocative. Unfiltered. And that’s why we need to see him live here this weekend.
